The Family Session Process

 

 

1.

 

Fill out the family contact form on website and wait for a response from Megan within 48 hours with more info.

 

2.

 

We will plan a date & sign a contract & you'll be asked to pay a 20% retainer fee to hold your session date.

 

3.

 

You'll be sent a family session prep guide to help you plan and prepare for the session.

 

4.

 

1-2 weeks after your session you'll receive your photos in a online gallery to download and enjoy.

FAQ

What should we wear during our session?


Soft, neutral tones and simple textures photograph beautifully for family sessions. I recommend choosing outfits without bold patterns or logos so the focus stays on your connection, not distractions. Once your session is booked, I’ll send over a family session guide with outfit suggestions to help you feel confident and prepared.

What if my kids don’t cooperate?


That’s completely okay—and honestly expected. I keep sessions relaxed and playful so we can capture genuine moments rather than forced smiles. We’ll take breaks as needed and go at your family’s pace, because some of the sweetest photos come from those real, in-between moments. And don’t hesitate to bring snacks—bribery is always welcome and can work wonders for a few extra smiles!

What if the weather is bad or we need to reschedule?


Utah’s weather can be unpredictable, so if conditions aren’t ideal, we’ll reschedule for a new date with better weather. If you need to reschedule for other reasons, I ask for at least two weeks’ notice. I know life can be busy and unexpected things come up, so I always try to be as accommodating and flexible as possible!
